On the heels of a lovely sunrise, on a crisp Colorado morning, David and Devon’s dearest friends and family stood shoulder to shoulder to form a wedding aisle. As Devon climbed a nearby hill and glimpsed the aisle, composed of her wedding guests, she shed a tear against her father’s shoulder.

“Everything was so perfect, better than I could have ever dreamed,” she said.

The ceremony was the perfect conclusion to a weekend-long celebration.
The couple kicked off their journey as husband and wife with a white water rafting adventure.

Devon recalls many summers guiding white water trips in Colorado, and considers it her second home. It was only fitting she should begin her new life there. Donning a white sundress and bridal veil, she took up position at the stern of a raft, David by her side. The couple and their guests boarded four rafts, and sped down the Arkansas River.

It may not have been the traditional wedding nuptials, but the guests delighted in the experience.
